DESIGN

Design and Engineering are at the core of our company. At Catrike, we believe that by delivering superior design and engineering, our customers will receive the best possible products. Each Catrike begins with a conceptual sketch outlining specific criteria before 3D modeling enables us to see renderings of the trike within a parametric model. The 3D modeling allows us to optimize stability and comfort centered on the rider. Our designs are tested in-house, initially using SolidWorks simulation with Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Using FEA technology, we can apply constraints and forces in strategic locations to identify potential areas for improvement. Finally, we validate our designs with real-world testing using our specially made fatigue-testing machine. This design process allows us to maximize efficiency and weight savings from the very first prototype without sacrificing performance and safety.
